The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) has signed a cooperation memorandum with the State Properties General Authority, aimed at strengthening institutional integration between the two entities in the areas of property registration, land allocation for water infrastructure projects, and the exchange of geospatial data and information. The agreement supports the optimal utilization of national resources and enhances operational efficiency in government projects.
The memorandum focuses on advancing cooperation in registering properties owned by SWA, developing joint technical models and solutions, and exchanging real estate data and expertise. It also includes coordination for land allocation to future water projects, such as seawater desalination systems, water treatment facilities, and distribution networks, contributing to improved planning and maintenance of the water sector.
Additionally, the memorandum provides for the exchange and updating of geospatial data related to real estate assets between the two authorities, as well as the signing of future detailed agreements to activate fields of mutual cooperation.
This partnership comes as part of SWA’s efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration with national entities and establish integrated mechanisms for the efficient and sustainable management of water assets and projects, in line with its objectives to enable the water sector and advance its infrastructure.
