The first day of the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability Conference (IDWS 2025), currently underway in Jeddah through 10 December, witnessed the signing of a number of landmark agreements supporting advanced technologies and sustainability pathways.
On day one, 9 agreements and memoranda of cooperation were signed between government, private, and academic entities.
The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) concluded 6 cooperation agreements focused on innovation, technology development, and service efficiency enhancement. These included technical agreements with the Saudi Irrigation Organization, the Singapore Water Association, the National Factory for Polyethylene Pipelines, and Qudra Arabia Company, in addition to a memorandum of understanding with the Saqayah Charity Association, and a joint training agreement with Waad Al-Shamal Company and Riyah Al-Ghat Energy Company.
The conference also witnessed the signing of three additional agreements involving participating entities, including an agreement between Taldin Company and Miyah Alliance Company, an agreement between Sekaya Charitable Foundation and GI Aqua Tech, and a tripartite cooperation agreement between the King Abdulaziz stood for the Ain Al Aziziya, the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).
The conference serves as a key platform for showcasing innovative solutions, exchanging expertise, and strengthening strategic partnerships within the water sector. Further initiatives and agreements supporting the future of the sector, and enhancing its efficiency and sustainability, are expected to be announced.
