SWA Signs Research Collaboration Agreement with China’s Shenzhen Water and Environment Group

The Saudi Water Authority (SWA), through its research arm, The Water Technologies Innovation Institute and Research Advancements (WTIIRA), has signed a research collaboration agreement with China’s Shenzhen Water and Environment Group. The agreement aims to enhance scientific cooperation and exchange expertise in advanced water technologies and innovative water management solutions.

The partnership focuses on developing smart and sustainable solutions to improve water quality and treatment efficiency. Areas of collaboration include the development of advanced sensors and smart systems for automated water quality monitoring, the establishment of intelligent laboratories for real-time water analysis, and the advancement of wastewater treatment technologies. The agreement also involves cooperation to establish a joint research center at the Water Oasis in Rabigh, dedicated to creating innovative solutions that support the sustainability of water resources.

This collaboration underscores SWA’s commitment to enhancing research and development within the water sector and enabling WTIIRA to build international scientific partnerships that facilitate knowledge transfer and localization of modern technologies, further advancing Saudi Arabia’s water sustainability goals.
