The Saudi Water Authority and Riyadh Bank support financing for small and medium enterprises in the water sector.

The Saudi Water Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with Riyadh Bank to support the financing of local small and medium enterprises in the water sector, which contributes to enhancing local content, raising the efficiency of supply chains, and encourage investment in one of the most vital and important sectors for sustainable development.

The memorandum comes as part of the Authority’s initiative to integrate the roles of government agencies and financial institutions, to support national establishments operating in the water sector, and to enable them to benefit from investment opportunities and future projects in the sector, and to innovate sustainable financing solutions that support their growth, and enhance their participation in implementing water projects, which will reflect on raising their competitiveness and expanding their contribution to economic development.


The memorandum includes studying and providing specialized financing products for water sector facilities, supporting local suppliers and contractors, implementing training programs and workshops to raise the technical, administrative and financial readiness of facilities, in addition to exchanging studies and analyses related to market needs and financing opportunities.


The memorandum reflects the Saudi Water Authority’s commitment to developing a supportive environment for the sector’s growth, enhancing private sector participation, and enabling local content.
