The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) announced the closure of 19 unlicensed water filling stations in Qassim as part of its intensified inspection campaigns across the Kingdom, citing non-compliance with approved water quality standards that could affect water safety and suitability for use.

SWA said the campaign identified several violations, most notably failure to adhere to regulatory and technical requirements for water filling stations and failure to ensure that water meets approved standard specifications. These violations required immediate regulatory action to safeguard water quality and protect public health.

SWA stressed that compliance with water quality standards and safety requirements is a fundamental condition to ensure water is fit for human use, and forms a core part of its regulatory and supervisory role to ensure the delivery of reliable and safe water services in line with the highest standards.

SWA confirmed that its inspection campaigns will continue across all regions of the Kingdom to ensure full compliance with regulations, calling on establishments to use licensed water sources and adhere to approved requirements. It also urged beneficiaries to report any violations through official channels to enhance water safety and protect public health.
