The Saudi Water Authority’s Saudi Water Innovation Center has concluded the on-site bootcamp for the second edition of “Miyahthon”, following an intensive multi-stage training program held across Haql, Jubail, and Riyadh, bringing together 60 teams of innovators and entrepreneurs from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The bootcamp is part of a wider initiative adopted by SWA to strengthen the innovation ecosystem within the water sector and empower national and international talent to develop practical, scalable solutions that enhance efficiency and ensure long-term resource sustainability.

Throughout the program, leading experts and specialists delivered a series of technical workshops and mentoring sessions covering advanced desalination technologies, water resources management, artificial intelligence applications, and innovative operational models, aimed at elevating the teams’ readiness and supporting the transition of their projects from concept to implementation.

The second edition of “Miyahthon” serves as a key platform for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the water sector by providing an environment that enables the development of actionable solutions, deepens collaboration between innovators and supporting institutions, and strengthens business models capable of meeting future sector demands.

This year’s edition also reinforces Miyahthon’s role in enabling partnerships between innovators and industry stakeholders, creating pathways for transforming pioneering ideas into viable projects that can shape the future of water both locally and globally.

The center will announce, in the coming period, the teams selected for the advanced on-site bootcamp to be held during the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability Conference 2025 (IDWS 2025), the international platform organized by SWA to showcase cutting-edge water technologies and pioneering solutions.
