The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) has concluded the second edition of its Promising Water Leaders Program, celebrating the graduation of 75 emerging leaders in the water sector. The program was conducted in collaboration with Harvard Business School, as part of the SWA’s strategic commitment to sustaining national leadership excellence.
The program aims to prepare Saudi leaders for the future of the water sector by equipping them with a comprehensive set of leadership and technical skills, under the umbrella of the SWA’s Capacity Building Program, one of its key strategic initiatives.
The curriculum focuses on three main pillars: strategic thinking and change management, business intelligence enhancement, and high-performance team building. Spanning 180 days, the program has so far graduated over 200 emerging leaders representing nine entities from both the public and private sectors in the water industry.
The initiative seeks to develop competent national leaders capable of meeting the sector’s ambitious goals, enhancing its competitiveness, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
SWA continues to invest in national talent development and human capital, recognizing it as a cornerstone for the sustainability of the water sector and the achievement of institutional excellence. Through this effort, SWA aims to prepare a new generation of visionary leaders capable of driving transformation and realizing the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s national development agenda.
