The Saudi water sector has concluded its participation in IFAT 2026, held from 26 to 28 January 2026, following a distinguished presence that highlighted the Kingdom’s integrated national model for water security management, alongside innovative technological solutions and circular economy and sustainability practices across the water sector.

The participation witnessed the signing of five agreements and memoranda of understanding with a number of local and international entities, aimed at strengthening innovation, advancing technological solutions, enhancing water resource management efficiency, and supporting research and development, capacity building, and sectoral growth—contributing to the objectives of the National Water Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.

The Saudi water sector emphasized that these agreements represent a continuation of its efforts to expand strategic partnerships, enhance integration between regulatory and operational roles, and develop a comprehensive water management ecosystem spanning from source to end user. This approach strengthens supply reliability, improves operational efficiency, and ensures the long-term sustainability of water resources.

The sector’s participation included panel discussions and specialized presentations, in addition to interactive exhibition pavilions showcasing the comprehensive operating model of the water sector, non-networked water services, and the role of the Water Academy in developing national talent, building research capabilities, and enabling innovation.

In concluding its participation, the Saudi water sector affirmed that its presence at IFAT 2026 reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing the water sector, promoting sustainability, exchanging global expertise, and reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a leading global model in water resource management.
