The Saudi Water Authority, through its research and academic arms—the Water Technology Innovation Institute and Advanced Research (WTIIRA) and the Water Academy—has launched a specialized training program in clean and renewable energy for the water sector. The program aims to develop national talent and equip participants with the skills to apply the latest sustainable energy technologies, enhancing the efficiency of the water system and supporting its sustainability.
The program is scheduled to be held in Al Jubail City on June 28, 2026, and participants will receive an accredited training certificate jointly issued by the Water Academy and the Water Technology Innovation Institute and Advanced Research (WTIIRA).
The program focuses on providing participants with practical knowledge and applied skills in renewable energy and its modern technologies through hands-on training in specialized laboratories and facilities. This enables participants to design, operate, and evaluate sustainable solutions and apply them within the water sector.
The program covers a range of specialized topics, including the fundamentals of energy and water, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, energy consumption efficiency analysis, the principles of solar energy system design, and an overview of the latest technologies and innovative solutions in hydrogen and carbon removal, as well as energy sustainability.
