The water sector is participating in the second edition of the Hajj Media Hub, organized by the Ministry of Media in partnership with several relevant entities from 1 to 4 June 2025. The event aims to highlight the Kingdom’s extensive efforts in serving pilgrims and emphasize the water sector’s preparedness and ability to ensure uninterrupted water supply in Makkah and the Holy Sites, which is an essential pillar of Hajj success.

The water sector pavilion offers an interactive knowledge experience titled “The Story of Water in Hajj”, presented in all languages. The experience illustrates how water—essential to every step of the hajj journey—flows from the sea, through treatment and transportation, to irrigation. It showcases a fully integrated supply chain that ensures every drop serves the needs of the pilgrims. The pavilion also highlights the capabilities of the Kingdom’s water sector, its global leadership, and the innovative technologies that make its seasonal response a model of planning and sustainability.

Visitors can explore key projects and initiatives implemented during the Hajj season, along with up-to-date data and detailed statistics that enrich specialized media content and support press coverage. The pavilion also features interactive experiences tailored to journalists and representatives from local and international media outlets.

Functioning as a unified platform, the pavilion brought together all arms of the national water sector operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. These include: the Saudi Water Authority, its interim operational arm the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), the Water Transmission and Technologies Company, the National Water Company, the Saudi Water Partnership Company, the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE), the Saudi Irrigation Organization, and the Sekaya Charitable Foundation

The Hajj Media Hub welcomes its guests in a fully integrated media environment that combines on-the-ground services and digital platforms, enabling direct engagement and reflecting the high level of coordination and institutional integration the water sector brings to serving the pilgrims.
