As part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and preserve natural resources, the Saudi Water Authority (SWA) and the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) have signed the Environmental Cooperation Pathways Agreement, aimed at enhancing environmental compliance within the water sector. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and preserve natural resources.

The agreement includes provisions for joint collaboration in supporting environmental monitoring initiatives, strengthening environmental compliance, and exchanging expertise to address environmental challenges. Additionally, the agreement designates the Saudi Water Academy, the training arm of the Authority, as an accredited body in the environmental field. This recognition is based on the academy’s distinguished expertise, advanced programs, and partnerships with leading global universities, coupled with its commitment to delivering high-quality specialized training programs to enhance skills and develop talent.

Furthermore, the agreement supports the implementation of community activities aimed at environmental conservation and resource protection, while ensuring the provision of necessary enablers for environmental work and delivering high-quality, flexible services in coordination with various sectors.

This step aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to foster collaboration among government entities and encourage contributions toward building a sustainable, green future.
